My name is Lucas. I am a C6-C7 quadriplegic. Due to my disability, I require assistance with most physical tasks, including driving to and from appointments, dressing, bathing, food preparation, medication management, toileting, transfers to and from my wheelchair and other mobility assistance. Payment is administered by GT Independence under the Community First Choice program. Caregiver is needed Tue-Fri from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additional hours may be available on weekends (Sat. or Sun.) in the evening, but hours will vary. I will provide training and no special skills are required. I would prefer people who are open-minded and willing to learn about my disability and how to assist me in managing it. However, a background in medicine or in providing care for an individual in my population is certainly welcome.
