Hello, we are exploring options for a live-in caregiver for my elderly mom (she lives with my dad but he does not need any direct care). My mom's mobility is impaired due to several falls and back fractures, and she has mild dementia (she's mostly coherent, but sometimes tells funny stories and often forgets she can't walk on her own, so needs regular reminders to ask for help before moving around). She can use a walker with assistance, and needs someone to support her while standing up and sitting down, and while moving from room to room. She will need daily clean up, meals prepared/warmed, and provide medications (we put them in pill cases each week). No driving is required. Do you have experience with this type of situation? We can pay approximately $150-200 per day depending upon experience.
