About who needs care: Female in her 40s with bipolar disorder. On medication through Medicaid. Also on probation because of a DUI. Low executive functioning skills but a hard worker. I want to hire someone locally to help her with paperwork and to stay on top of the social services she is receiving. (Including applying for disability.) Historically it has been a challenge for her to maintain employment because of mood swings. About the care needs: I need someone who is super organized, a good task master, a good communicator (I Iive in Texas), and can wrangle a grown woman in her 40s. I essentially need a private case manager / social worker who can be my eyes and ears on the ground and that can help her with decision-making and execution. Almost like a parent.
