Full-time Nanny/Family Assistant, Warm and Patient Web Job # 10763 Location: Los Altos, California. Schedule: The schedule is Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Thursdays from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Additionally, Family would highly value a Candidate who could work Tuesday mornings from 6:30 am to 8:30 am with additional hours available if Candidate wants, plus Sundays from 2:00 to 7:00 pm. Family is flexible on number of hours and exact hours, and open to a Candidate who could only work one or two Sundays per month. The Tuesday morning and Sunday hours are optional and overall, Family will guarantee 40 hours of pay per week. Children: 8, 9, and 11 year olds with a primary focus on the younger two children. Duties: This role involves supporting a busy household with three children who are energetic and need guidance with responsibilities before enjoying free play. Duties include driving the children to and from activities, working one-on-one with each child to complete homework, preparing meals for the children, doing the children's laundry, assisting with the children's evening routines, and helping with light tidying. Additionally, the Candidate will be tag teaming with an at-home Mom and will assist with meal preparation for the family, grocery shopping, family laundry, and running errands when Mom is attending to the children. The family is potentially getting a mini poodle puppy, so responsibilities may eventually include occasional pet care and groomer trips. Requirements: The ideal Candidate is reliable, punctual, and consistent, with a warm and kind demeanor that helps children feel encouraged and valued. They should be playful and able to join in on silliness while also being firm, patient, and capable of maintaining boundaries. Previous experience supporting children with ADHD and with food allergies is ideal. Additionally, the ideal Candidate is an easygoing and flexible team player who can partner with an at-home Mom and assist with both childcare and household tasks. Candidates should be tidy, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced household with many activities. Candidate must drive, have access to a vehicle for use on the job, and be willing to stay up-to-date on vaccinations including flu, COVID, Tdap, and MMR, and taking allergies seriously. Above all, the right person will bring a mix of structure, patience, and positivity to help the children and household thrive. Salary: $40-$45 per hour. Benefits: This position offers paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, mileage reimbursement, and guaranteed year-round pay. The family will be withholding taxes and using a payroll resource.
