Bugaboos is a family owned & operated infant & toddler child care in Lakeport (Lake County) preparing for a Grand Opening (license currently pending). Unlike other local family child care homes, Bugaboos caters exclusively to infants and toddlers with primary care offered for ages newborn to 3 years AND before/after school care for preschoolers & kinders ages 3 to 6. Owners are a husband & wife team who are parents to 5 children and have more than 25 years experience caring for children of many ages and abilities. We hold specialized trainings and insight into interacting with special needs children (autism spectrum, immobility, retardation, sensory integration disorder, ADD/ADHD), and have additional education in nutritional needs and special diet preparation. We work closely with local child development programs such as Early Head Start, Early Start (Easter Seals), and Head Start preschool to stay familiar and knowledgeable about early childhood development and help connect parents to other local resources. We realize some parents prefer a commercial child care center, but Bugaboos is absolutely the next best thing. We have great references and come highly recommended by local centers. Take a few minutes to reach out. We will be happy to answer your questions. Currently, we are accepting children on a wait list/pre-registration basis and are expecting to pull from that list in April of 2016. Call to schedule a site visit. Signing your baby up sooner puts their name towards the top of the pre-reg list. Registration is first come, first served so don't delay.
