This is a play-based, in-home, state registered daycare and preschool offering hands-on, nature-based learning in a small group setting with a commitment to outdoor learning and play. There is both an indoor and outdoor classroom giving the children the freedom to explore and learn naturally. It is an emergent curriculum. The children determine the lesson plans and the teacher is there to facilitate the learning opportunities and gently guide the children as they explore. In the outdoor classroom there is large motor exploration, dramatic play, investigating plants and living creatures, building, tinkering, and creating art. The outdoor space includes a garden and play structures as well as a tent. Indoor play activities typically include art projects, sensory play, blocks, dramatic play, circle time with stories, finger plays, musical instruments, and games.
