Miami Beach Hospice Care

Hello, My name is Erin I am 35 years old. My elder care began as a small child visiting nursing homes where my mother worked, chatting with all the ladies. Later, I was a live in caregiver for my maternal grandparents and saw them through to their at home hospice passing's. I have worked since then helping a lovely woman who lived by herself with company, cleaning and transporting to and from appointments. I don't have previous senior care per se. I used to project manage home remodels and interacted with seniors often. I love helping so I ran errands for them, listened to stories. I even helped them with tasks around their house while I was there supervising workers to make sure they were taken care of. My grandmother passed away years back- I helped take care of her in hospice. She had dementia and other health issues. I also helped my previous partner take care of her mother with cancer. I bathed them, dressed, gave meds, ran errands, kept them company. I am healthy and have had two Covid tests so far.

I am a positive, patient, experienced caregiver. I took care of my great-grandmother, and my uncle in hospice. I love helping others. I'm looking for a way to earn a little extra money while doing the things I love. I am responsible, energetic, and caring. With me, elders receive the appropriate care that they need.

As a personal care assistant for the past 10 + years, I've had the opportunity to work with a variety of patients with diagnoses such as Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Cancer, COPD Diabetes, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's/Dementia and Hospice patients, as well as staff. I've assisted patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, including meal preparation, and household management. I've also helped patients with their therapeutic exercises, assisstive devices, medication management, and monitoring patient's vital signs. I drove my patient's to their doctor appointments and did their grocery shopping. If I noticed a change in my patient's health status, I'd report it to the family immediately. Most importantly, I've always been a great companion to those who I've worked with. I am a very friendly, outgoing person with a huge heart, and I will always go out of my way make sure my patient is at their maximal comfort level. CPR/FIRST-AID/AED Certified.
