Group home located in Sacramento is in search of caregivers to provide loving assistance to our clients. The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible, and preferably possess related caregiving experience. Available shifts range from 12-hour, 10-hour, 5-hour and 3-hour.
About the home: Our peaceful home has 6 fun and loving clients. When at home they enjoy swinging on the bench in the backyard, playing catch, puzzles and art and crafts, going for short walks, watching action movies, wrestling and sports on TV and dancing to music.
Compensation and benefits:
-Pay rate starts at $14/hr with overtime opportunity and paid out bi-weekly
-Paid training with experienced manager
-Continuing Education Units (CEUs) including but not limited to Direct Support Professional (DSP) 1 and 2 courses, CPR/First Aid certification)
Requirements of the Caregiver
-High school diploma or GED
-Able to provide documents for employment (e. g. U. S. Passport, social security card, green card, alien registration card)
-Additional Experience as a Caregiver, Personal Care Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide, Retired Nurse, and/or Medical Assistant is a plus. However, if you don't have any experience but are willing to learn, we'll train you!
-Will assist with the following items that are required upon starting: State HCA Registration with Department of Social Services, Cleared physical exam and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray (within 6 months), CPR/First Aid Certification
Responsibilities of the caregiver include but are not limited to:
-Provide hygiene care as directed including, bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, feeding, meal preparation, laundry, linen changes, and light housekeeping.
-Documentation and reporting of client's status and updates including but not limited to vital signs, height and weight, activities, and mood
