I took lessons from a classically-trained guitarist in Monroe, GA as well as some Jazz from a guitarist in college in Tuscaloosa, AL. I am a very good guitarist, My influences are vast ranging from Sublime to Tool and Radiohead. I used to be in an all-original band about 15 years ago in Athens, GA. However, I played in a cover band during college. I like both acoustic and electric guitar so "pick your poison." Formal Education: Lessons with Jimmy Young (a major in Classical Guitar Performance) in Monroe, GA as well as Jazz guitar from a Jazz Guitar performance major named Kevin Williamson at the University of Alabama. Private Education: I pride myself on my "private education"...I spent many years learning from tablature at the age of 15, and have since learned how to read music as well. Performing Experience: I was in a band called "Wax Palm Zoo" that played all originals. And I played in a cover band at local bars. Experience Teaching: Teaching friends how to play (which was VERY successful), and they all told me they "appreciated my patience with them."
