Tim's Music Lessons (Guitar, Production, Song Writing)
by Taylor Robinson Music
Atlanta, GA
Years of Experience: 2 Location Options: In Home, In Webcam Travel Radius: 20 miles Genres: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Country, Acoustic, Christian, RB, Gospel, Pop Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Guitar Lessons,Song Writing Lessons,Record Engineer Produce Overview: I've always been intrigued by how people interact and learn from each other. Over the years I have been lucky enough to travel around the world practicing my art and learning from some of the most amazing players/studio musicians on the planet. If you had asked 12-year-old me whether I'd be doing what I'm doing now as a living, he probably would have laughed and said he was going to be in a rock band, not recording them. But life takes us where we need to go sometimes and that is quite often not where we think. I'm settling down and starting my own business so I can focus on my own music again, but the journey to get here has been one crazy ride. All that said, I get so much from watching people take control of their art form and become who they want to become as artists. I'll learn just as much from each of you as you will from me, and hopefully we will come to be friends as well as fellow students in the creation and appreciation of music. Formal Education: Associates Degree LA Music Academy Berklee College of Music Private Education: Studies under a wide variety of names including; Shane Theriot, John Scofield, and Oz Noy to name a few. Performing Experience: While I have only taught sporadically throughout my life, I have experience and contacts that would prove invaluable to the budding player or songwriter. Irsquo;ve been blessed with the experience and opportunity to write or co-write dozens of songs for professional release; record and/or mix over 60 professional and independent projects; and transcribe charts for many major label artists, including Daryl Hall and John Oates, Train, Cheap Trick, Wyclef Jean, Elle King and more. I also arranged or co-arranged songs for Pat Monahan, Todd Rundgren, and Daryl Hall among others for major release singles and albums. In fact, I accomplished all of this with very little use of social media. Yes, it is possible! Experience Teaching: I've given video lessons online or through Skype during my career but never on an extremely consistent basis. -Education- Degree: Associates Degree School: LA Music Academy Dates: 2012-2014

My love for music, writing, teaching, dancing and the arts, in general, started at a very young age, six years old to be exact. I grew up watching my mother and grandmother sing in church and my mother even had her own band. I knew at that age an entertainer, not just a singer, but an entertainer was what I wanted to be. I picked up every instrument I could, watched every youtube video that I could and read every music book that I could. At seven years old, I began to play piano by ear and by watching Youtube tutorials on how to become a better piano player. In 2018, I picked up the bass guitar and started playing by ear. Recently, I moved from Saint Louis to Atlanta to pursue music and have not looked back since. Kevin's Music Lessons (Song Writing, Vocal)
by Taylor Robinson Music
Atlanta, GA
Years of Experience: 15 Location Options: In Home Travel Radius: 30 Genres: Rock Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Vocal Lessons,Song Writing Lessons Overview: Hi, my name is Kevin, and I'm a vocalist from Atlanta. I've been singing since I was 15; I got into it because I found it therapeutic yet challenging. I've been singing with others and recording a cappella covers, as well as developing original vocals, for over 5 years. I mostly produce lyrics and vocals for rock and electronic music. I have some jazz and RB singing ability too. My teaching style can best be described as lighthearted but disciplined. Enjoying the process comes first. That enjoyment leads to continuous growth and improvement. In my lessons, you can expect to learn breath control, range identification, diaphragm usage, belting, lyrical ideation, song structuring, and more. My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students grasp the concepts that they've been pushing themselves to learn. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon! Private Education: I started out by teaching myself how to sing. I began posting a cappella recordings on the internet through Vocalizr, through Looperman, and through instagram. A few of my connections on these platforms gave me advice on how to refine my lyrical abilities; they also gave me feedback on my sound. I applied their collective advice to my own self-critiquing and introspection to develop to my current point. Performing Experience: I've put out a song in conjunction with a SoundCloud and Vocalizr producer. You can listen to it by searching "darksurface kev my solitude" on SoundCloud. The reception was warm based on what people whom I shared the song with had to say. Other than that, I performed as a part of the Metro Atlanta Singing Group in mid-2018: I mostly sang bass and baritone. The group dissolved later that year, but I kept practicing, and making independent recordings, and looking for other people to make music with, which led to me meeting others online. Experience Teaching: I worked as a substitute teacher for half a year between late 2016 and early 2017. I taught a variety of subjects, but didn't teach music, and I oversaw the education of students ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade. When I'm singing around other people, I welcome and encourage their active participation in whatever I'm performing. Making music should feel natural and fluid, not forced and dogmatic.
