I work with young beginners to senior citizens and also special needs (such as Autism, ADD/ADHD, PDD-NOS, etc.) and focus on keeping all students motivated with fun lessons while facilitating the necessary challenges in order to efficiently progress in musical knowledge and skill. Also, as an author of newly published music pedagogical books, I specialize in developing new, original techniques and lesson materials in an accessible and innovative way. I teach a wide variety of styles in order to build understanding and appreciation for music as an important art form. These styles include: tradional/classical, jazz/improvisatory, World/multicultural, popular/showtunes, and original songwriting and composition lessons for all ages. Williford, Piano teacher- classical training from age 7-15. Current, ongoing professional development. Performing Experience: Various jazz bands (large and small ensembles), a cappella chorus, solo jazz piano work. 3 independently released solo recordings.
