This past December, Merrick graduated the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in Communication, with minors in both Music Business and English. In Middle School, under the tutelage of Bob Beck, Merrick learned to play jazz piano, while developing a basic working knowledge of music theory. In High School, Merrick composed instrumentals on the recording program Reason. He then sold these instrumentals to raise proceeds for charity:water. In College, Merrick took his talents to South Beach (like LeBron.) He has since recorded and released over 20 songs on SoundCloud, in addition to performing at venues across Miami, and, most recently, releasing his first ever music video on YouTube.
