In this hands-on club, you’ll learn the magic behind stop-motion video creation—using your favorite toys, clay figures, or even everyday objects to tell your own story. You'll explore the science and technology of animation, discovering how each frame comes together to create movement. With the help of cameras, apps, and your imagination, you’ll become a stop-motion director, designing and animating your very own mini-movie. Whether you’re making an action-packed adventure, a silly comedy, or a heartwarming tale, you'll work with friends to create something unique. Learn about lions, elephants, sharks and more, and find out how wildlife conservationists are working to protect species around the globe. Experiment with a variety of art techniques using Crayola® products to create animal-inspired art projects, from frog paintings to polar bear sculptures! Let your creativity run wild and bring your handiwork home to build a menagerie of animal-themed masterpieces. Our young artists will receive Crayola products to take home, and wildlife trading cards that contain fun facts about the featured animal and a biography of a real conservationist working with these animals. ***This course is ONLY for Grades K-1** Art-n-Orbit is a unique art and science program that focuses on children’s creative spirit while they learn the fundamentals of art and science. Students will make their own exploding volcanoes, explore the universe, conduct fun science experiments, create spinning robots that zoom across the floor, and much much more. Every class is a hands-on, engaging, and educational adventure for boys and girls alike. Best of all, each week the children will leave class with their own tailor-made projects to show family and friends. These projects (many made from fun recycled materials) will be a true source of accomplishment and joy. New projects are featured each semester and year to year so that the children can continue the learning experience. Get ready to embark on an underwater adventure in this hands-on, action-packed after-school class where we’ll uncover the secrets of the deep blue sea. Students will learn the science of submarines, master the mysteries of buoyancy, and take on fun engineering challenges. We'll start by creating your very own Cartesian diver—a mini submarine that rises and sinks on command! Then, put your creativity and problem-solving skills to the test with buoyancy battles: Can you build a floating platform that holds the most weight? Or design an object that sinks just right? From experiments with density to understanding how submarines dive and surface, projects will bring you closer to thinking like a real marine scientist. No need to pack a wetsuit—just bring your curiosity, imagination, and a spirit for adventure. Let’s make some waves!
