New students begin with three foundational projects that introduce our studio tools, materials, and routines while allowing teachers to assess each student’s skills and interests. From there, artists can pursue more self-directed projects, developing their personal style and exploring the mediums that most inspire them. Whether your artist is looking to refine their skills or simply want a space to create and connect, Teen Studio is a supportive, inspiring place to grow as an artist. Painting & Drawing from Observation Artists practice drawing and painting from observation, learning to create 3d form through shading and details. 3D Art and Sculpture We encourage three-dimensional thinking by working with clay, plaster, or other sculpting materials. Fine Art Mediums: We introduce a variety of materials, such as clay, acrylic paint, charcoal, watercolors and printmaking, teaching the properties of each medium and how to use them effectively.
