Years of Experience: 4 Location Options: In Studio, In Home Travel Radius: 20 Genres: Classical Age Groups: Children, Young Adult Instruments Taught: Orchestral Lessons Overview: Graduated from GHS in 1984 as an All State player with a music scholarship to Baylor but ended up deciding to major in elementary education and counseling. I've played with Starlight Orchestra for 8 years as their principle horn player and have taught sixth through eighth graders horn lessons at the Waldorf School in Austin. Music is a true passion of mine. I love to make learning fun and not just learning about the "technical". Building a relationship with my students is always primary. Private Education: Private lessons with Dr. Mary Ellen Cavitt, before she was Dr. Cavitt at Texas State. Performing Experience: Perform as principal horn with Starlight Symphony Orchestra. Performed with several small ensembles in Austin and Austin Promusica. Experience Teaching: Have taught at Austin Waldorf School 6th-8th grade private lessons and group lessons.
