TRIP HIGHLIGHTS Go for an exclusive guided mountain bike tour of Anna Ranch, a National Historic Site and working ranch. The green, rolling hills of the 110 acre ranch are nestled at the base of the Kohala Mountains, former training grounds for King Kamehameha’s Kipu‘u pu‘u Warriors. This mountain bike tour is both family-friendly and challenging, and provides insight into Hawaiian history and culture. As you ride in the lush, cool uplands of Waimea you’ll enjoy stunning views of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Hualalai. We’ll begin with a brief overview of Anna’s legacy as the original Hawaiian Cowgirl and the First Lady of Ranching. Then we’ll ride directly from the ranch across the Kohakohau Stream and head up nearly 1200 feet to our snack spot and vista point, stopping along the way to learn about the historic and cultural elements of this unique aina (land).

Experience a Hawaiian luau on the Big Island's gorgeous Kohala coast. Start with a delicious meal that features Hawaiian and Polynesian dishes like kalua pork, fresh seafood, salads, tropical fruits and delicious desserts. Then enjoy a dance performance that tells the story of Hawaii’s Polynesian ancestors and their incredible voyages throughout the Pacific. This evening of Hawaiian food and culture is suitable for all ages, from couples on honeymoon to friends and families on vacation.

Discover the best snorkeling off the Kohala Coast on this 3 hour Big Island snorkel cruise. Aboard a comfortable catamaran, admire Hawaii's postcard-worthy beaches, mountains and shoreline. Then, dive into the pristine Pacific waters for a chance to see beautiful tropical fish, acres of healthy coral reefs and maybe even a green sea turtle!. Marine life briefing, snorkel instruction (both onboard and in the water) and all snorkel gear and flotation devices are included too. The luau is held at the beautiful Mauna Lani, Auberge Resort at Kalāhuipuaʻa, which is a historical area where ancient Hawaiians mastered the art of aquaculture and where King Kamehameha came to recuperate and work in the fishponds. Guests are welcomed with a traditional Oli (chant) in preparation for preliminary activities with the cast. After the activities, watch as the pig is taken out of the traditional imu pit before it is prepared for the Hawaiian buffet. The program is capped off by a performance of traditional and modern Hula dances, along with the spectacular Samoan Siva Afi (fire knife dance).
