Years of Experience: 50 Location Options: In Home, In Webcam Travel Radius: 35 Genres: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country, Acoustic, RB, Pop, Metal, Folk, Funk, Soul, Reggae, Hip Hop Age Groups: Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Drum Lessons Overview: Hello fellow drummers. Thanks for considering me as your potential drum consultant (teacher can sound so harsh ha). I really love TRM's tagline of "learning to play from the heart". FUN : Drumming should first of all be fun ! Learning technique is very important, ; learning to ENJOY playing your instrument, even moreso. FUN should be the prime motive for playing any type of music, any instrument. I really hope to help you create fun, new interesting-heartfelt music. If you need help learning a drum part from your favorite artist, for school, or your own band, I feel I can help. I started drumming at age 3, when I only had a snare, cheap hi-hat ride cymbal. I was first mentored by my uncle Saran, and encouraged by my parents. Dad gave me my first drum set when I was 5. FAMILY.. That leads me to this : THANK ALL YOU moms, dads, wives, husbands, relatives and others who've enabled us drummers to grow spread our wings on our musical journey. Your FAMILY support is priceless. I've learned directly from some excellent drum teachers and band directors, and been influenced by many amateur professional drummer /musicians, from many genres. This has afforded me a considerable vocabulary which translates into a good teacher / student relationship. I'm not too proud to learn from you, and look forward to what you bring to the drumming table. I really hope to help bring out your unique expression on the kit. I've performed semi-professionally, gigging with Latin Rock Jazz bands in New York, to CW bands in Lavernia, TX. I've had the wonderful opportunity to record tracks for a couple of albums with my long time buddies in the Indie Rock group Neccos for Breakfast-from Cleveland, Ohio. Check out their Masai Music Project, which paired Cleveland High School musicians with kids their age living in Kenya, Africa. Was definitely a highlight... Music IS about FAMILY and FUN. In addition to our own families, we're part of a broader musical family-a great fraternity to which to belong. Let's have fun making heartfelt music together! That's the point after all.
