I have been a student of music for close to 30 years. My musical influences are predominantly rock based, but I enjoy all styles of music and percussion. My teaching style can best be described as hands on and based in drum set application. My teaching philosophy can best be described in applied theory. In my lessons, you can expect to learn fundamentals, but the goal is to get you up and playing the drums as quickly as possible. I like to tell my students that nothing beats practice. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the joy that learning a new drum line or rudiment brings to someone. My favorite performance was back in the mid 2000s touring and opening up for Papa Roach. I primarily teach applied theory, but I can also teach fundamentals and techniques. My approach as a teacher is to make sure my student is having fun and learning. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon! -Education- Degree: Live Performance in Percussion School: McNally Smith College of Music Dates: 2009-09
