When all the sailors in Key West heard there was booty to be had, they'd get in their boats and race each other out to the reef. The first one there could claim the ship's cargo. Today, we celebrate it with the firing of the canon to start the race, and all of the schooners of Key West are on their way in a one-way race to Sand Key Lighthouse! You will begin this 65 minute nighttime guided walking tour by meeting your tour guide at Capt. Tony's Saloon outside front doors (428 Greene Street). You will then be taken to several of Ernest Hemingway's haunts around Old Town where he worked and played. You'll hear incredible stories of history and lore about Hemingway and Key West. ​
