The Middleton Place tour is an all-inclusive tour experience of one of Charleston's most beloved historic sites. Our Middleton Place tour has smaller groups sizes, transportation in a luxurious Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van with licensed tour guides to answer your questions. The tour begins a delicious and authentic Lowcountry lunch in the Middleton Place restaurant. This is proceed by the house tour and then a guided tour of the gardens. Guests will also have time to see the wildlife on site, learn about the history of the enslaved at Eliza's house if they chose and shop at the Museum shop and Garden Market. Guests will be picked up from the Charleston Visitors Center. *Additional guests may be being transported to Magnolia Plantation simultaneously. This will not affect your experience. Electric bikes give you the best of both worlds—exercise with a little extra assistance when you need it. They’re a great option for crossing the Ravenel Bridge or heading to the beach with ease. With a range of up to 52 miles, our e-bikes are perfect for a full day of cruising and exploring Charleston.

Our most affordable rental, cruisers are perfect for relaxed riding around the downtown peninsula. These bikes are simple and easy to use, featuring a single gear and a pedal (coaster) brake. Cruisers are recommended for downtown riding only and are not ideal for crossing the Ravenel Bridge.

Unlike many tour companies in town that allow up to 20 people in each group, my Charleston tour is guaranteed to have no more than 12. The most unique aspect of my tour is the high level of historical professionalism that I deliver to my guests. Earning a Ph.D. in history meant spending thousands of hours reading and researching primary sources in the South Carolina archives. I use the knowledge that I have obtained from that hard work and pass it off to you on the tour. Because I limit the number of guests to 12 and offer a tour that is 45 minutes longer than most in town, you will receive a degree of exclusivity and historical depth that is far greater than what is offered by the larger tour companies in Charleston.
