I teach in a wide range of styles including Classic Rock, Blues, Soul, Folk and Jazz. My philosophy stresses really developing an ear for music and guitar and also instilling a sense of passion and love for the instrument. I think its also very helpful having some knowledge of music theory and other fundamentals. But first and foremost I want you to have fun and develop a love for music and guitar! Formal Education: I was in several organized jazz bands in high school and went to Berklee College of Music for several years. Performing Experience: Played in jazz bands in high school, played in bands in college and afterwards and currently perform around Austin as a solo performer. Experience Teaching: I have taught many friends over the years and also work occasionally as a substitute teacher with Georgetown music.
