I sing, I write songs, and I play the keys. I have been playing for a long time now and to me, it's such a gift to be able to share it! I'm influenced by Billie Holiday and Norah Jones, and I like Jimi Hendrix. My teaching style is creative, individualized, and dichotomously fun and disciplined In my lessons, you can expect to learn technique that will make you a confident performer and also songs that inspire you to keep playing. I like to tell my students it just seems difficult at first! My favorite thing about teaching is doing what I love with kids (and adults) who want to do it too and hearing people make music they really want to make. My favorite performance was in a theater show at Ideal Glass Studios in Manhattan. My students love that I encourage them to write their own songs. I primarily teach voice and piano, but I love to teach songwriting. My approach is to build lessons based on students’ genuine curiosity and skills. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
