I've been playing for about 16 years, and I'm entering my final year as a music student at Florida State University. I do my best to be a well-rounded musician: I study both classical and jazz music, and regularly explore free improvisation. Away from the keyboard, I do a lot of thinking about music theory and music cognition. I'm a J.S. Bach fanatic. As a teacher, I firmly believe that music should involve both reading/repetition and creating right from the start. In my lessons, you'll learn how music works as well as how to play it, and you bet you'll use your ears. In general, I try to take things one step at a time, and I make sure to maintain a sense of exploration and discovery. I look forward to hearing from you!
