I have been teaching music both privately and in the classroom for 15 years. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching absolute beginners who have never sung or played before, as well as advanced musicians with years of experience. I firmly believe that music is for everyone, and with the right tools and guidance, anyone can learn how to unlock their unique musical potential. There is an unfortunate and common misconception that only those with natural abilities can succeed in music – this is simply not true. In my experience, it’s the dedicated students who practice consistently that make the most progress. My specialty areas include voice, choir, beginner-intermediate piano, music theory, musical theatre, and K-12 general music. I have been performing for 24 years. My performance experience includes musical theatre, opera, choir, pop, rock, and jazz ensembles. I love performing and teaching across various styles, techniques, and genres. The voice is an amazing instrument capable of creating so many different tones and textures, and I enjoy teaching my students how to fully explore their voices! I customize my curriculum and approach to each student's unique needs and goals. Everyone is different, and I want to ensure that my students always get the most out of their lessons. I believe that providing students with a strong musical foundation has a profound impact on their lives and education. My goal is to inspire my students, while giving them a safe and supportive space to explore their creativity and express their artistry. I enjoy seeing my students blossom to their full potential, as well as being a part of their journey.
