Obviously not everyone is cut out for music so I believe it is important to make certain the lessons are motivating personally for the student. I believe the more entertaining and challenging the lesson is the more the student will practice and improve. I also believe every student is different and requires a tailor made lesson plan. Musicianship, versatility and variety. I try to cover all aspects of the guitar acoustic or electric. Whatever the students comfort zone is I try to take them out of it into a somewhat challenging arena. I also try to expose them to music they would otherwise maybe not be familiar with. Rock, Pop, Country, Funk, Metal, Motown, Blues, Bluegrass, Jazz. It's all part of being a well rounded musician. I also believe in developing a healthy long term relationship with customers. I think this is the hallmark of good customer service. Reliability, flexibility and likability are key to success in my opinion. Child safety: This is by far the most important aspect of teaching in my opinion. Since 80 percent of my students are children I believe their safety and the comfort level of the parents are top priorities. I always encourage parents to be involved and present or at least within ear's reach of the students. * Formal Education: Studied Classical guitar at Jefferson Community College. Private Education: I have studied with a variety of guitar in orange county and Louisville Kentucky. My experience has been greatly improved by these mentors: Jeff Hamilton, Denny Tate, John Sanders. Performing Experience: I have played live in just about every type of musical situation you can think of. Everything from casions to concert halls, Namm Shows to wedding. Private parties, restaurants, clubs, discos. You name it I have played it. Experience Teaching: Though I have always had a few students on the side during my musical career I did not teach full-time until 2008. Now I have a roster of 30 dedicated students. I guess you could say I love teaching. I have taught after school classes at Don Juan Avila, Canyon Vista, El Morro and and Top Of The World Schools.
