I have been a student of music for 24 years. My teaching style can best be described as music embodiment coaching for beginners and professionals. My teaching philosophy focuses on providing a basic foundation using both traditional methods mixed with holistic breath work sound healing exercises and embodiment techniques to connect your mind and body to the notes on the page. Most of our musical blocks are mental and in my lessons, you can expect to learn how to prepare your body and breath, phrasing, tone color, and styles and how to build confidence. I like to tell my students that they coexist with their Bodies and they have to learn to communicate! My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students grow is when they make the connection with their singing that we have been discussing. They get so excited and I love watching them grow in confidence and ability! My favorite performance was singing the Frank Martin Mass for Double Choir during my graduate studies in Norway. My students love that I listen to their needs and adapt for each individual. They enjoy my outgoing personality and how fun I keep lessons. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
