He began playing the piano at the age of four and also began his first singing lessons with his father, who is also a professional musician. Taylor continued his education by studying classical voice at West Los Angeles College, before transferring to Howard University in 2014 to pursue a degree in music business studies with a minor in classical voice. While at Howard University, Taylor has been a section leader and student assistant for the Howard University Choir, a member of the jazz ensemble, Afro Blue, and the President of the acclaimed Howard Gospel Choir. His musical influences include Aretha Franklin, Walter Hawkins, Jessye Norman and John Legend. Taylor's favorite thing about music is its ability to connect and resonate with people regardless of their age, nationality and beliefs. When taking lessons with Taylor you can expect a personalized and thorough experience with tailor-made warm ups and exercises. He looks forward to getting to know you as a student and learning about your specific goals, interests, and learning style.
