She began singing at the age of 6 and playing guitar in high school. She continued her education at Florida Southern College and graduated with a Music degree in voice performance. She got her Master's Degree from Florida State University in the area of Music Therapy. Kathryn's favorite thing about music is the power that it has to heal and inspire and her favorite thing about teaching music is instilling a passion for music in my students. One of her favorite teaching experiences was teaching my own three daughters. They began lessons at age 5 and created a band called, The Grumpy Ole Trolls when they were very young. They have been playing as a band for 5 years and my oldest daughter is now only 16. They play at music festivals and events all over Florida.
