My name is Ms. G and I'm glad to serve as your vocal instructor. I'm currently working in education and been in education for 12 years. Over the years of working outside of education I've been fortunate to do background vocals for upcoming artist, give vocal lessons through networking, and performed in various places. During this summer I will be studying to be a certified music and theater teacher for the fall. The mission is to enhance your vocal abilities, build your confidence so you can manifest in the talent that was gifted to you. I look forward to meeting you soon. Formal Education: Prairie View AM University studied Music (Vocal Performance) Fall 2000-Fall 2003 University of Houston-Downtown studied Humanities Cultural Studies Fall 2016-Spring 2020 Bachelor of Arts in Humanities Private Education: Vocal trained under Dr. Leon Turner, and Dr. Jan Taylor, at Prairie View for 3 1/2 years. Also, vocal training in my younger years under Dr. Olephant and Dr. April Sloan. Performing Experience: Porgy Bess 2002 in Poland for the International Music Festival; Performed in Los Angeles, California for the African American Heritage Festival; Church for several years; Back ground vocals for upcoming artist in the studio and live. Multiple seminars during my years at Prairie View AM University. Also, NAACP ACTSO Competition in my younger years.
