I have been a musician for about fifteen years, since I was 15 years old, and have been teaching it for the past five years. My teaching style can best be described as "unique per individual." All of my students in the past have each required their own individual learning techniques, which makes teaching that much more fulfilling, because of all the unique aspects that come with it. My teaching philosophy can best be described by my emphasis of the mantra that "passion is most important, and practice is second most important!" In my lessons, you can expect to learn many kinds of musical genres, mostly geared towards your personal preferences. I like to tell emphasize also to my students that nothing can be learned overnight; it takes time to master an instrument, but anyone can do it with the right amount patience, passion, and practice! My favorite thing about teaching is the many talented students I have had the privilege of meeting, teaching, and likewise learning from them as their instructor. My students love that I am both very serious about music, but very fun in my lessons. I primarily teach percussion, as I am a drummer by nature, but I can also teach guitar and bass. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon! Performing Experience: I have played drums for nationally-known bands such as, "On Mono," "Flying Circus," and guitar for "David St. James The Sinners." I have toured and performed everywhere from California to Philadelphia.
