I am currently beginning my pursuit of my doctorate in Music Composition at the University of Miami. My big music influences come from everything from Pop, EDM, Rap, and Classical music. My teaching style is extremely student driven. I want to know what the student is interested in and what they want to get out of lesson from me. Lessons from me are relaxed and a safe space for creativity to thrive. As a vocalist I have been singing since I was born. I was involved in jazz, concert, and show choir throughout high school. During my undergraduate degree I had the opportunity to be apart of the Nordic Choir and sing all over the US and even go on tour in Italy. I have also sang solos for crowds of 50,000 people in a single day. As a composer, my compositions have premiered on three continents including North America, Europe, and Australia. My choral music has been performed largely in the Midwestern United States and my vocal music has received more international recognition. Three of my vocal works have premiered in Italy, along with performances in the United States. In terms of instrumental works, I'm really known for my fusion of classical music elements with more contemporary music techniques found in genres such as electronic dance music. I've been fortunate enough to work with fantastic musicians from around the globe and have been commissioned to write works for groups such as the Grammy-nominated string quintet Sybarite5.
