My real name is Jonathan, but I have a nickname which I go by Fin. I have been playing music since I was 7 years old. I first started learning to play the piano for many years. Then once I got to middle school, I took guitar lessons for several years. I have been in a couple of bands in middle school and in college. I was also in the high school funk band playing guitar for 4 years. I have had the chance to teach close friends some basic chords and scales on the guitar and piano. Once I got to graduate business school, I acquired the mandolin from my aunt and uncle and started teaching myself chords and scales, and have been playing for a few years. Also while I was in graduate school, I found a voice teacher through my family, whom I have been working with for 5 years and still am. I have always loved music since I was a kid and continue to play and listen daily. Formal Education: Graduated from Appalachian State in 2013 with a bachelor degree in Recreation Management and minor in business. Also graduated from Belmont University with a Masters in Business Administration in 2020. Private Education: Instrument lessons from private instructors: 26 years of experience playing the piano, 10 years took classical piano lessons, 20 years playing the guitar, took 5 years of guitar lessons, self taught playing the mandolin for the last 5 years, has taken voice lessons for the last 5 years. Performing Experience: I have played guitar, mandolin, piano and sang for close family and friends on numerous occasions. I have also performed in a band in middle school, high school and in college as well. I play on the beltline from time to time with guitar and mandolin while singing.
