Upon entering school, he discovered a love for playing concert percussion and continued to develop his skills, going on to earn a Bachelor's in Music Education from Morehead State University and a Master's in Music Performance from Boston Conservatory. Over the years he has had a wide variety of performing experiences, playing with jazz bands, rock bands, orchestras, chamber groups, marching bands, and drum lines in addition to a multitude of solo performances. Growing up in a family of musicians and teachers, he has a deep-rooted passion for music and helping people grow. He is an enthusiastic and engaging educator that believes all students are capable of learning how to be great musicians-it just takes time and persistence.
