Private Half Hour Drum Lessons with Juan (In Webcam)

Years of Experience: 2 Location Options: In Home, In Webcam Travel Radius: I will travel up to 15 mi Genres: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Acoustic Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Drum Lessons,Keyboard and Piano Lessons,Orchestral Lessons Overview: Hailing from the South side of Chicago, Juan has overcome many obstacles and unwanted influences around his neighborhood and became an active member in his high school’s band program, where he won many city and state solo and ensemble competition medals. Upon graduating Thomas Kelly High School, Juan wanted to pursue a career that involved music and teaching. So after learning about VanderCook College of Music, he felt that the school was a perfect match. Through out his years at VanderCook Juan joined an outside ensemble known as Nuclear Reaction. While in Nuclear Reaction Juan has taken leadership roles running small sectionals as well being the section leader for the Vibraphones. He also is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and was a former Fraternal Education Officer. Holding that position has given him the responsibilities of teaching classes as well as shaping the minds of the probationary members who want to join. Juan plans to teach in the Chicago area to give back to his community and better their education Formal Education: I recieved my diploma from Thomas Kelly high school as well as studied under great professors at VanderCook College of Music. Private Education: While at VanderCook I studied privately under great percussion such as Mr. Kevin Lepper, who taught with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps and was a Yamaha performing artist. I was also fortunate enough to be taught under percussion instructor Brett Kuhn. Mr. Kuhn was a instructor with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps., and he is also a clinician for Yamaha, Zildjian, Remo, and Innovative percussion. Performing Experience: Performed with the VanderCook college of music Symphonic band for 5 years, I've also was a part of their orchestra for a year as well. I have performed with VanderCooks percussion ensemble for 5 years as well as their choir. Experience Teaching: I have taught lessons privately while at VanderCook College of Music as well as volunteered as a percussion instructor at Thomas Kelly high school.
