I have been a student of music for 15 years. My musical influences include Yes, Rush, and Frank Zappa and I also enjoy Funk. My teaching style can best be described as tailored to each student. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I adapt to the moment. In my lessons, you can expect to learn anything from the basics to playing in any genre from metal to jazz as well as theory and composition. I like to tell my students go in whichever direction leaves you feeling fulfilled as an artist, express yourself through your music. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the progress my students make and the smile across their face when they see the progress they make.. My favorite performance was playing and singing a gypsy jazz tune alone with my 8 string guitar, being bass, rhythm guitar, lead and percussion all at the same time. My students love that I am left-handed, especially string players. I primarily teach piano and bass, but I can also teach any stringed instrument, low brass and drums.
