I've worked with students in early elementary through highschool grades, and young adults in college as well as adults. Mystudents are individuals who have thedesire to play the drums but just need some coaching to quickly refine and advance their playing capabilities. I like to work on hand skills, followed by some music reading and playing on the snare and then wrap up each session with some drum set playing. I use a matched grip and like to teach the Moeller Technique. The student is sent home with some snare exercises and works on a song on the drumset. Senior Year 1988-I was 1 of 2 Drum Majors. 1 Texas Tech Drumline / Texas Tech Going Band from Raiderland (400 piece marching band) (50 member drumline). Played Cymbals my Rookie Year,followed by three (3) years on the Snareline. Received Senior Honor Award for Four Years Participation in the Texas Tech University-Goin' Band from Raiderland.
