I'm Scott Mahone a native of Fort Lauderdale born in 1961. I've always loved to sing and play. My Education: Sunrise Middle School Band: Saxophone and Bassoon. 1976 Third chair Bassoon in All State Band. Fort Lauderdale High School-Symphonic Band in 9th Grade. Chorus and original Member of Headwind or dance/singing group. Senior year Tenor sax in Jazz band. Comedic small roles in Carnival and West Side Story. Coached friends in Pop and Broadway vocals. Broward College: Piano performance/dance vocal group and Bassoon in chamber group. On 1/2 Scholarship for Bassoon. Piano principle and voice minor lessons. Florida State University: Music Theory/Piano Principle. Opera Chorus BFA in from Florida Atlantic University in Piano Performance under the coaching of Judith Burganger. Chorus performances with orchestra. M.A. degree in Special Education at Florida Atlantic. Graduated in 1991. Church experience: Wilton Manors Baptist Church: Staff Pianist from 1982 to 1994. Pianist and soloist. Coached and prepared soloist and small ensembles. Played and sung in choir. Relocated to Mountains of Georgia for 20 years. Worked part-time at 4 Southern Baptist Churches as pianist and choir director. I've relocated back to Broward County in 2023 from Orlando.
