My name is Jacob and I would love the opportunity to be your music teacher! I have played guitar for thirteen years, and drums and bass for seven. I can teach various styles of music including rock, blues, pop, acoustic pop, jazz, metal, funk, and soul. My teaching style is entirely focused on the student's areas of interest. I get to know my students and their musical inclinations on a personal level and use lessons in those areas to teach them the core tenants of music theory. The ultimate goal of my lessons is to use music that my students love to give them a foundational understanding of the big picture of musical theory. Formal Education: B.A. in Managerial and Organizational Communications Private Education: Private guitar lessons for 8 years Performing Experience: I performed many gigs throughout my college experience both paid and personal.
