I am a multi-Instrumental musician and teacher. I was born in Philly but spent years in the Middle East before I settled down in Texas. I have played music in Africa and America as well as played for consulates and various organizations. I want to learn music to be a fun and constructive exercise in self-expression for my students, and no matter what genre we are studying I intend to create a space where they can explore music fully. Formal Education: I have studied music in college for the past eight years. Under Dick Gimble, Lise Uhl, Rebecca Baylis, and Dr. Bronwen Forbay. Private Education: I have taken lessons in Texas swing, Jazz, Country, and Classical music, Performing Experience: I have been performing for 11 years and have been around the country on tours. I have played for various international consulates and organizations. Some of my first playings were in Egypt as a child. Experience Teaching: Over the past nine years have taught ages 5-60 and had a blast with all of them.
