Call Nancy at 208-412-1051. Accepts ICCP and drop-ins. Kodomo Kids International currently has spots available for children, 0-2 years of age. Our Japanese/English bilingual program provides a language-rich environment, allowing children ample opportunity for critical brain development. Communication and social skills are paramount and we are committed to providing a safe, loving home environment for your child to excel, without the stresses that less personalized programs have. Our low caregiver to child ratio ensures that children have abundant one-on-one time. Our highly experienced staff ensures that your child will have quality care. We provide children with the time for play, music, dance, reading, exercise, nutrition, and rest that their growing bodies and minds need. Currently accepting applications for toddlers as well! We focus on responsibility, manners, and social skills at this age, helping children learn how to communicate in a positive manner. Developing people skills and working on adaptability through emotional awareness will help your child adjust to the new environment when he or she finally enters kindergarten. We work with children to learn coping skills and find outlets for their often overwhelming emotions. All caregivers are CPR and first aid certified. We look forward to meeting you and your family!

Stay at home mom of two 7 year olds and an 18 month old. Really wanting another little one to watch and have as a possible playmate for my little one. I have two amazing and sweet dogs and 2 kitties that love attention, so make sure there are no allergy concerns please! I up for any age. Meals and snacks included for an extra fee. CPR and First aid certified and have passed a criminal history background check. Working on all the state licenses and requirements as I go along, and in the process of becoming an ICCP provider. Age appropriate arts and crafts, learning and practicing letters, numbers, shapes, and colors, plus music time, story time, and holiday activities are a must, outside time, field trips with approval of course, and lots of love and one and one attention. From your family to mine. I am in the processing of becoming an ICCP registered provider as well. I am in Pepper Ridge Elementary School District with a bus stop right across from my home, so before and after school care is no problem at all, we can even work on homework. There will be times when my kids need me at a school function or whatnot, and you will have at least two weeks notice of that day and time and how long I'll be gone so that you can make other arrangements.

Teryn S. says "Great one on one care and my kiddo never wants to leave at the end of the day!"

A Child's Choice Montessori School

1797 S. Millennium Way Meridian, ID

< 1 mi

Purpose and Philosophy: A Child's Choice Montessori School exists to create an environment that supports the development of children's true nature as Dr. Montessori originally discovered it, including the following qualities: Eagerness to learn, social harmony, self-confidence, a profound ability to concentrate, orderliness, self-discipline, obedience, independence, and joy. These qualities emerge as a result of following basic principles of preparation of the environment, freedom, and objective observation. Preparation of the Environment: Great care is taken in preparation of the environment at A Child's Choice Montessori School because, as Montessori recognized, children unconsciously absorb what is in their environment and adapt to it. Equipment: Children are naturally eager to learn through work with real objects in their environment so; A Child's Choice Montessori School has a wide variety of attractive, hands-on learning equipment in many different subjects for the children to freely choose based on their interest. This is a partial list of things children learn at the school: Reading, writing, math, science, geography, computer, art, music (piano). Adults in the Classroom: The adult influence on the environment is even more important than the physical aspects of the school. The staff at A Child's Choice Montessori School is chosen for their love of children, patience, and reliability. Staff members are given extensive on-the-job training about Montessori principles and techniques to make sure they act in a way that respects and promotes the emergence of the children's true nature. Schedule: A Child's Choice Montessori School is open 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and offers a variety of flexible scheduling options from which to choose. The school implements a Montessori all-day program that includes long class periods when children can freely choose their work and concentrate on it. The school continues its commitment to Montessori principles and allows children to use Montessori equipment beyond the 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. schedule to facilitate continuity in the environment that is sometimes lacking in other Montessori programs. The following is the daily schedule: morning class time 7:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. , outside time 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon, lunch 12:00 noon - 12:30 p.m. , rest 12:30 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. , afternoon class time 1:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. , outside time 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. late afternoon class 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Independence: In cooperation with the child's true nature, A Child's Choice Montessori School aims to enhance children's independence, as much as possible, through the physical preparation of the environment and in the way the teachers work with the children. Mixed Age: Montessori had a mixed-age group of children at her school which was a big reason for her great success. A Child's Choice Montessori School also has a mixed-age providing a cooperative, socially harmonious, community atmosphere, which is an advantage to both younger and older children. Discipline: Our discipline policy is centered on creating an environment that allows the child's natural self-discipline to emerge. Children concentrating on purposeful work don't misbehave; so, the staff is trained to help children back to work when they are losing their focus. Primary Program: The primary program includes children ages 2 through kindergarten. Children at this stage have absorbent minds that learn and adapt quickly and effortlessly to their environment. They are given brief, objective, concrete lessons with hands-on, self-teaching materials based on their present-moment interest. Elementary Program: This includes children grades first through sixth. Children in this level are on a different plane of development from the primary aged children. They are more abstract in their thinking and it is necessary to support them in their development of reasoning and planning. They are given more abstract, advanced work with an emphasis on reading, writing, and math. One of the tools that is used at this stage is a daily log where children write a plan for the work they are interested in doing. Director: Wendy is the director of A Child's Choice Montessori School. She has been working in Montessori education since 1998 and has extensive training in Montessori Teaching through International Montessori Society and Montessori Teacher Preparation of Washington. Location: A Child's Choice Montessori School is conveniently located in Meridian, near the corner of Eagle Road and Overland.

Hi, My name is Cindi I am 38 years old. I was born and raised in Arizona. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old for people outside my family circle as well as within it. I had my first nanny job at age 18. I nannied for 3 different families. After I was married in 1995 I started running a business in my own home, and have been doing it ever since. We have lived here in Meridian for a year and a half now, and love it. I have 3 children of my own a 16 yr. old, a 7 yr. old, and a 3 yr. old. My job is one I feel very blessed to be able to do. I am able to provide a safe and secure environment for children while their parents are working. A place where they are not only are cared about and have all their needs met, but also are experiencing new things and making friends. We have fun things to do and love to play outdoors when weather permits. I also have a park within walking distance of my home that we visit. We have story time every day. Reading is very big in my home. Two days a week we do learning time where I cover the basics of numbers, letters, colors, and shapes. I also am teaching them to recognize and write their own names. I have been doing this for over 17 years, I have had all types of experiences and have enjoyed most of them. I feel communication is a must between you and I as these children are the most important thing in your lives. Although I have a lot of experience I am always learning every child is different and has different needs I look to you to help me learn what those needs are to keep them happy. This whole description sounds all business and no fun I promise you that we are not that way. We are goofy and fun and love to turn up the music and dance. So come check us out!

Misty's Nursery

7895 W Limelight St Boise, ID

Misty's Nursery is a unique, Montessori~inspired, in~home daycare for infants, six weeks to 30 months old, located just north of State and Glenwood streets in Boise. Unlike traditional in~home daycares, the main living space and several bedrooms of the home have been completely converted into nursery, toddler and sleeping spaces, and there are no other children in the home. We recognize the critical role early development has on a child's later growth, and as such offer an exceptionally low 3 to 1 ratio (occasionally 4 to 1 with toddlers), and focus exclusively on caring for and interacting with the babies in our care. We are passionate about children, especially infants/toddlers. Misty has a Montessori teacher's diploma and has completed the coursework (but not the testing) for a CDA. She also has over 200 hours in training through Idaho Stars during the past year. Misty has worked solely with infant s for the last 4 years (a portion of that as a nanny) and has worked with young children for more than the last 6 years. Melanie has raised several children (including Misty!) and assisted in the raising of numerous others. While new to childcare, Avery adores children and is excited to be a part of Misty's Nursery. We are fully licensed (personal and business) and insured. We strive to create strong bonds with the babies we care for. We believe in the 5 S's (Swaddle, Side/Stomach, Shush, Swing, Suck) for calming young babies. Babies at our Nursery are given opportunities for sensory play, songs and music, sign language, books and art, as well as self~image and self~care activities. This includes carefully selected language, social, cognitive, motor and sensory activities, depending on each child's unique needs. Many of our toys and activities are Montessori inspired, as are our baby gyms, shelves and tables. We practice positive responsiveness with the infants in our care. We also respect the fact that each parent and child is different and needs individualized care, and some methods may not work for your child. If there is a specific way you would like us to care for your child, we are open to providing the care you would like; we realize the importance of a strong co-parenting relationship. Given our small size and low ratios, we focus primarily on children requiring FT care but do what we can to accommodate alternate schedules. Please read more about us, our beliefs and policies at mistysnursery.com.

Kim says "We LOVE Misty's nursery! Our little guy has been going here for the last 6 months and it is worth every penny. Knowing your child is happy and well taken care...

Early childhood experiences build the foundation for positive self esteem and a love of learning. While our center is primarily a full day child care program, we offer so much more than just child care. Each age group has their own classroom with age appropriate learning materials and toys. Our teachers plan daily activities to help children reach developmental milestones and to prepare for kindergarten. In 2021 we became members of the Idaho Stars Program to insure our center is providing the best possible care for the children we serve. Being members of Idaho stars gives support to our amazing teachers to continue their ongoing education in the early childhood education field. Each step requires that centers meet standards in: Health and safety Staff education Classrooms and playground Inclusion of all children Partnerships with families and communities Professional business practices
