I am a college educated, stay-at-home mother of two little girls, ages 5 & 3. I do not operate a day care. I care for a very small number of children in my home at a time; thus ensuring each child receives individualized attention. I want parents to feel safe, knowing that their children are well cared for in a happy, encouraging and loving environment. We are very active and busy learning for most of the day. Each day you can expect us to do things such as; story time, indoor/outdoor exploration, craft/art time, free play and creative theme specific learning activities. We have our weeks scheduled in advance and strive to continue structure through out the day. Our care kids do as much or as little as they wish, no pressure! Most of all, we sing, dance & play! We also take it easy when kids need down-time, breaks and/or naps. I get the children acclimated to the same play/down time schedule so there is structure& repetition in knowing how the day will play out. I feel kids learn best and feel most secure this way. My rates are very reasonable and I don't charge for days that kids are not in my care. I also offer a sibling discount for children of the same household. You can provide meals or I can. Our family diet is comprised of all-natural consumables. If I provide meals/snacks, I ask parents to do a monthly meal share for lunch and snack items which is a nominal fee to offset meal costs which parents generally find easier and more convenient than packing lunches/snacks each day. Either way, I allow parents this choice. Full disclosure, I do ask parents to allow me to travel with their children. It s important that I mention this because we are very active and travel is a necessity. I would bring your children anywhere I would bring my own; grocery shopping, zoo, parks, library, dance class, gymnastics, school pick up/drop off, etc.

Individualized attention for your little one. When you're at work, you want an experienced caregiver you can trust. Call or email to find out more! We have experience with typically developing children and those with special needs: The owner has 17 years experience of behavioral therapy with children with autism. She has taught in a preschool, led children's choir for 12 years, led Girl Scouts for 5 years, and worked with adults with disabilities for 4 years. We have a low teacher to child ratio, because it is most important to have individualized attention for each child. Eat. Play. Learn. only accepts 3 full-time children for each day. Part-time slots are available, if schedules permit sharing of slots. Children thrive from a consistent, positive environment allowing them to understand the behavior expected of them. The word "no" should be reserved for emergencies and dangerous situations. Positive statements such as "stay on the floor" are used; they are more productive by stating the expected behavior. Negative statements such as "don't climb" are not used. We are open from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call or email for weekly full-time and part-time rates. Discounts available for siblings and individualized payment schedules.
