Bright, Cheerful Pet-sitter Looking To Help Out Other Furry Families With Pet Care, Walks, And Occasional Over-night Care.
My very first job was watching my neighbor's dog and cat in 9th grade. It was a blast! Since then I have worked as a pet-sitter off and on for friends and it's a job I truly enjoy. Most recently I took care of 4 very feisty cats last fall. I am most comfortable with small to midsize dog breeds, especially collie types, shepherds, and retriever mixes. My own dog of 17 years was a black lab/golden retriever mix and I could not have asked for a better companion growing up. Most recently I have acquired my first cat, who is a Blue Russian, and unfortunately gave me a crash course in treating epilepsy when he started having seizures last August (fortunately now he is fine and I now know how to pill a rather unwilling cat!). I have a guinea pig too and have a lot of experience with guinea pigs from him and a former roommate. I'm also comfortable with ferrets and chinchillas, small boas and lizards, but not as well schooled in their care. I love big dogs too but if your big guy loves to run off the leash or take over I'll admit you might need someone more schooled in that. Bottom line: I love my pets, and promise to do my best to take care of yours.
I currently have a part-time job in McKinney and commute from Rowlett, so anyone off 75 is right on my way to help out! My goal here is to help out others doing something I love and also save up a bit to finish my Master's degree. I am very clean, respectful, do not smoke, and only want what's best you and your pet... it's what I'd want for mine!
