I discovered my passion for animal care when I began volunteering at my local animal shelter four years ago, and have spent the last two years working as a kennel technician at luxury dog resorts. I became certified in animal first aid and CPR in 2015 through PetTech. As a kennel tech, I have learned how to identify and address the needs of individual pets when boarding regarding separation anxiety, socialization, mental stimulation, exercise, comfort, and care. In daycare, I oversee groups of up to 30-40 dogs at a time, and have experience with dogs of every temperament: shy, fearful, aggressive, anxious, etc. I am able to safely handle these animals using the knowledge I obtained from the Knowing Dogs 101 and 102 programs, which taught me how to identify dog body language and stress signals. I am capable of administering medications, and have experience in handling and medicating dogs with diabetes. I also provide bathing and nail trims.
