Graduate Student Who LOVES Animals!
My name is Kim and I am currently in graduate school for Speech-Language Pathology at IUP. I first obtained a degree from the University of Dayton in History in 2012. After graduating I moved to Altoona because I accepted a job with the U.S. Department of the Interior as a Park Ranger. At this position I have given children's programs regarding animal habitats, migration patterns, and recycling, as well as historical interpretations about the Johnstown Flood and Allegheny Portage Railroad. I continue to work at this position part-time and also work part-time as a Therapeutic Staff Support worker. I love working with animals. Growing up I had a dog and two cats. I also volunteered at the local animal shelter in high school. This responsibility included feeding, walking, cleaning, grooming, and playing with dogs that were boarded. Finally, I have an adorable 7-year-old female yellow Lab named Millie! You may have even seen us walking around Hollidaysbug. I love getting her out for exercise and letting her play!
