As a mother I understand the importance of the peace of mind that comes with knowing your child is safe and well taken care of. I will provide an environment for your child that is safe, fun, spiritual, and educational. My home will become their home during the day, and they will be treated and loved as my own children. Your child will be taught all of the necessary things to adequately prepare them for preschool. Including but not limited to, sharing, counting, A-B-C's, matching, colors, animals, etc. It is my hope to provide an appropriate play experience that contributes to the developmental needs of each child, and to provide opportunities for meaningful play that is based on the child's individual needs, interests, handicaps, and abilities, that will build important foundations for future skills. Children will spend almost as much time at my home as they will at their own homes. This is why it is very important for me to have a good relationship with the parents so that I can provide the best care for your child as possible. I look forward to becoming a part of your family and welcoming you into mine as we embark upon this journey of raising our children together!

Joni's Childcare & Preschool

3235 Rancho Silva Dr. Sacramento, CA

< 1 mi

As a mother of three growing children, I base my program on what I would look for in a quality child care for my own children. That means a safe, loving, stress free environment that encourages age appropriate learning. Child Action, Inc. also offers great trainings and I have also participated in a couple of learning series called promoting school readiness through the U.C. Davis extension program. Throughout our day we have a schedule that we try to follow, but I believe that most of what children learn happens through play. Positive communication is also very important to the children because it helps build self-esteem, confidence and helps them learn speech, as well. The ability to listen, understand and communicate one's needs to others is an essential part of a child's development. Meal times are also a good time for children to learn social skills, manners and to clean up after themselves. Sharing clean-up duties builds a sense of pride and belonging in the child care home. I also do circle time and a curriculum to prepare your child for kindergarten. I use a creative/project style curriculum that encourages creativity through themes. My home offers a variety of different educational toys, learning centers, art supplies, a dress up closet, books, a train table, outdoor toys and manipulative toys; such as blocks, beads, and puzzles. My children attended a child care home when I was a working mother, so I understand that it can be difficult for the parent and the child. Therefore, using my home for a childcare/preschool was important to me because I want the children to feel at home. Parent and provider communication also plays a huge role in the child's well-being, so I want the parent to know that I will always make time for that after hours or at a scheduled meeting. My doors are always open if you choose to visit your child or pick up early without notice. I believe children grow, develop and learn at different rates and I will accommodate every child's individual needs, whether it is patience or giving the child a challenge to keep them interested. I look forward to having a special relationship with you and your child/children.

Mila's Friends

6 Bonack Pl Sacramento, CA

80% of the brain is developed by the age of three. That being said it is crucial to surround all children with love and positivity. Children should be able to have a creative space to explore what interests them, and have support and approval from the adults around them. I am a firm believer in letting the child choose their path, if they are more interested in a certain subject I want to be able to provide the materials for them to explore whatever that may be. I strive to promote self-esteem, creativity, independence and freedom in children. Having working in a variety of childcare settings I have been able to decide what I think benefits the child and what does not. I have worked in an in home child care, a nanny environment and a preschool center. Now that I am a mother myself, I provide the care my child, and every child needs.
