After teaching many years at various Child Development Centers, I have come to the realization that true quality care is only achieved when everyone that your child encounters is dedicated and passionate about providing their absolute best at all times. This observation has driven my decision to re-open my home daycare. At this daycare, children have the advantage of a small group setting where they are able to receive individualized attention. This small group enables me to enrich their learning development through hands-on, interactive experiences. Certain scenarios include learning about animals then visiting a farm, learning about the ocean then visiting the aquarium or learning about community helpers then visiting the fire station. Children in a small group setting are far less likely to get sick as often as children in a facility. My past facility children always had runny noses and were constantly catching the new sickness going around where as my previous home daycare children were hardly ever sick at all. My daily schedule is similar to that of a facility but I have the advantage of flexibility based on the children's personal needs. Proper nourishment is a critical part of this program as well and the meals and snacks provided are based around nutritious whole foods. My focus for lesson plans is to promote age appropriate development through creative, hands-on activities. At Time To Play it is my passion and desire to provide the highest quality care that your child needs and deserves.
