Child care
We believe that good childcare depends upon consistent caregiving in a center based atmosphere. Children grow and learn best in a safe environment that provides opportunities to explore, create and communicate with other children and adults. These groups function independently but cooperatively, following routines appropriate to individual needs. The program is designed to be inclusive of all children, including those with identified disabilities and special learning and developmental needs. The Center s program is designed to include both planned and spontaneous activities in response to children s interests. Experiences with music, movement, art, language and building are incorporated into daily plans. Regularly scheduled snacks and meals, rest time, indoor and outdoor play, and routines in physical caregiving promotes the child s health, comfort and ability to care for his/herself. There is maximum flexibility for the children as a group and as individuals. Children are encouraged to develop a positive self-image, to learn inner controls and to cooperate with peers and caregivers. Clearly defined limits help them recognize and accept their emotions and express their feelings as they grow and feel secure in the world around them.

Kate S says "I gave this learning center 5 stars because it doesn't let me give them 10 stars. I truly don't feel the negative comments are valid, sounds more like they...

Our primary focus is on the development of social-emotional skills. We make every effort to model attentive listening, teach body language awareness of self and others, show kindness and empathy toward one another, and teach language and literacy skills through conversation, reading, games and other activities. All ages join together in play, crafts and mealtimes. This model has proven to support all areas of development. Learning is part of everything children do here as they take part in structured (group and guided play activities) and unstructured (child led and activities of their choosing) as part of our AM and PM schedule. Activities aid in the preparation for Pre-K enrollment. We provide care for children ages 3 months to entry into preschool. Cozy Cottage Childcare, LLC is a licensed, family-oriented provider. We have a large outdoor play space with a variety of equipment to strengthen large muscles and encourage social games.

Whitney H. says "It's a very small intimate caring facility. Targeted more towards babies and toddlers. They really feel like home for our kiddos. We've been attending...

Family child care in a home like setting is the best alternative there is for working parents. It provides a small secure environment for children during the most important time of their development. Family child care offers a home away from home, providing children with siblings of all ages, to play, socialize, and learn from. My goal in providing quality child care for your child is to provide * A safe environment * A nurturing environment * A learning environment learning is not necessarily the ABC s and 123 s, but is also the learning of values. The learning of honesty, respect, self reliance, and potential, self-discipline, and moderation, the values of being; dependable, love, sensitivity to others, kindness, friendliness and fairness are the values of giving. * A proper approach to discipline Since children occasionally need discipline, it is important that you and I share a similar philosophy so that your child is not too confused as to where the boundaries are and what is expected of him/her. Children are taught which behaviors are inappropriate, and why, and given alternatives that are acceptable. In this way, the behavior is being changed, with out making the child feel bad or unloved. This helps develop their self-esteem, and teaches them how to handle difficult situations themselves in the future. I express my disapproval (without attaching character). I state my expectations and show your child how to make amends. I give choices, and in extreme situations a child may be given a time out ; because at times a child may be having trouble making choices of their own and they just may need a couple of minutes to calm down, and think about their choices. * And to foster unconditional love this kind of love is very important to me because children should not grow up feeling that in order to be loved and cared for they must meet numerous conditions.
