Thank you for your interest! In 2006, at age 12, I attended a Sitter Program at a local hospital and have been babysitting for children ever since. In 2012 I started my first daycare position. From 2012-2016 I continued to work/volunteer in childcare between semesters at college and shadow in various pediatric healthcare settings until I graduated from the University of Scranton. In 2016 I became a Medical Scribe in a pediatric doctor's office before continuing onto graduate school at PCOM in 2018. Over this time I have acquired experience in childcare, infant/premature care, tutoring, medically/developmentally diverse children, and various medical training. I can provide copies of current background checks, child abuse clearances, fingerprinting, and certifications in BLS, CPR, and PALS. Hope to hear from you!

Sonora watched my 2 sons (3 year old toddler and 8 month old infant) and she was great! She quickly formed a bond with my very opinionated toddler and was very hands on with my infant (I loved that she willing and eager to practice his physical therapy Torticollis exercises with little guidance because of her background in healthcare). Although she was only with us for a short period of time, she genuinely cared for my kids. She was always very thoughtful, reliable, and took detailed notes on how their day went, which was much appreciated. I cannot recommend her enough!

The mission of the Margaret George School is to provide love and respect in a stimulating environment where children are encouraged to reach their potential in all areas of development: social, emotional, physical and intellectual. Each child is an individual with inestimable worth, both as an individual and as a member of society.

Following the guidelines set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, we apply the knowledge of child development to our curriculum and policies to ensure that programs are developmentally appropriate for each age group and each individual child. Our teachers prepare environments so that children may learn through active exploration and interaction with adults, other children and materials.

Children are treated with respect. Our staff responds quickly and directly to children's needs, desires, and messages, adapting their responses to each child's differing style and abilities. Whenever possible, children are given choices fostering development of self-control. Our staff facilitates the development of self-esteem by respecting, accepting, and comforting children regardless of their behavior. Conflicts are resolved respectfully, taking into account each child's needs at the time. Our staff follows the guidelines developed by Rudolf Dreikurs in his books.
