Academic Tutor, Graduate Student At UT At Austin
I believe that most students require individualized attention to learn in the most effective way possible, as each student is unique in their interests and talents. I have not only invested in my own education, but also in the education of others, through tutoring and personal involvement in the future of schools. Quite simply, I'm an advocate of Ken Robinson. I have taught students from elementary to college level and those that I've taught the longest include one home schooled student who required writing improvement, another was in middle school that was in need of support for all of his courses, including English and World History. We met twice a week to ensure better grades. In high school, I was a Math lab tutor during after school hours, helping students with Geometry, Algebra, and Pre-calculus. During my time at college, I've helped fellow students in General Chemistry and Calculus 1 and 2. Now, I'm an independent contractor on Tutor. com, one of the most widely used tutoring sites in the nation, yet I'm always looking for opportunities to help students in my local area.
