At the Development Center for Little People, we are excited to help your children along their individual paths of social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth, and look forward to engaging you in this collaborative process. Our passionate teachers are always looking to guide your child's natural play into moments of exploration and learning. We also offer teacher-directed activities including kindergarten preparation and computer readiness, with a smaller ratio that enables us to surpass the enrichment opportunities of larger facilities.
Our director has a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition with a Minor in Early Childhood Education, and 30 years of experience in the Montessori Method. Our philosophy is that your child is an extension of our family, and that children can only truly develop within secure relationships with responsive and respectful adults. We look forward to meeting with you and your family to discuss all of the opportunities for growth and fun that we have to offer! All clearances are had!

We have been with Jaren for almost 5 years now with my two girls. They absolutely love her. I never have to worry if they are cared for or if they feel safe.
Our older daughter is more than prepared for Kindergarten through her preschool lessons. Jaren has modified her lessons to accommodate her wanting to do more. She has really gone above our expectations.

My son has been with Jaren since he was 4 months old so almost a year now and he loves going everyday! Jaren takes amazing care of my son and all of the children. She teaches them to treat each other with love and respect which is seen and felt every time you walk in. Jaren helped to get my son on a daily schedule, teaches him new things everyday, and has helped me navigate through parenthood!

My son Jordan has been with her since he was 6 months old and loves it. Jaren treats all of the children as if they are part of her family.. He loves all the pre-school activities. I never have any worries with him being there and that is such a comforting feeling as a parent. She puts the children first and is always looking for ways to enrich their experience.

Jaren is amazing with all the kids at her facility. My son William was with her for over a year and he loved it. Jaren treats all of the children as if they are her own. She truly enjoys being with the children each day. Leaving your first born with someone else is a hard thing to do, Jaren made this so much easier for us. We knew that she cared for him almost as much as we did. I wish we could have taken her with us when we moved out of Pennsylvania.

Both my daughters are with Jaren now. My oldest loves it there and has been going since she was three months. She loves doing the little pre-school activities and is always so proud of herself! The kids are like a little family and are always so excited to play together. There is a separate nap room which is awesome for having babies (and the older kids) take good naps throughout the day.

My son started at DCFLP when he was 5 months old. The love and care he received was fabulous. Jaren was like a second mother to my son during the time he was there. He enjoyed playing with his friends & the fun activities Jaren planned for the children on a daily basis. I would recommend DCFLP to anyone who is looking for warm, family-like atmosphere.

We have had Jaren care for our 2 kids over the course of 7 years now. We love the warm, loving care she provides to the children and her early childhood education program has been helpful in their development. The center's environment is positive and healthy, and we definitely recommend her services to any family looking for quality childcare.

My son David has been at Jaren's facility for quite some time now. It has been amazing to watch him learn all that he has. It goes beyond colors, shapes, and vocabulary. He is developing valuable social skills, and his time at "school", as we call it at home, is turning him into a mannerly and loving little man. I wondered, like most, when I returned to work after my maternity leave if I was doing the right thing for my son by enrolling him in DCLP and not staying home. It took a matter of days to realize that I couldn't do for him what this program does. I feel very blessed to have found such a wonderful place for David to learn and grow, and it is always exciting when a new little friend joins the group!

Jaren truly loves each child for who they are. She cares about them like another parent and treats them with respect. She is flexible with each child's individual schedule. There is a large outdoor area for the kids to play, a separate sleep room for nap times (in case there are non-nappers), small group learning and activities for the older kids. It's a happy little daycare!

Both of our children started at DCLP as infants. Wonderful hours in a family environment. In home setting in a lovely West Chester Neighborhood provides ample parking for easy drop off and pick up. Separate entrance into child care area. Not to mention, little texts and pictures throughout the day to update you on your child's day.

I highly recommend going to Jaren for child care! I was so nervous leaving my newborn to go back to work with someone I didn't really know at the time. I trusted her right away, and didn't have to look back. We felt she gave our son the type of care as he were her own child. Loved the cribs for nap time, and the preschool learning as they grow. I loved that it is a family type environment with small group of children. I was not into putting my baby in one of those bigger daycares at all. Thumbs up!

My daughter has been in Jaren's care for a year now and we love her! She has been flexible with my schedule when need be. I know that she truly cares for and loves my baby as if it is her own. It has been a real blessing to have found her! I highly recommend her!

Both of my babies were under Jaren's care while I was working. She was reliable, personable and she just has a great way with babies! I appreciated the individual attention my children received while under her care and she made my transition back to work so much more bearable. She was genuinely concerned their well being - you can't get that at the Y or any other day care center. My children had a great experience there and I recommend Jaren!

I have nothing but positive things to say about Jaren and our experience with her day care during the 4 1/2 years my kids attended her day care. They received more individual care b/c not as many kids as some of the other day cares. My kids always seemed excited to go there every day, which was great to see. Jaren was very flexible with schedules, whether we need an early pickup, or even a few minutes late to pick up. It felt more like a family environment, than just a business. Jaren even helped babysit for us on occasion when we were stuck. This was the perfect blend between a nanny and corporate day care. I would highly recommend trusting Jaren with your child!

I loved Jaren and the environment that I put my child into. Her daycare is safe, happy, and flourishing. The preschool activities benefited my child tremendously! I highly recommend this family-like child center.
